We provide high quality wrap around care from 7.30am until 5:30pm (5pm on a Friday). Each session includes age appropriate activities, designed in line with the national curriculum as well as a nutritional snack or meal and a range of both indoors and outdoors activities (weather permitting). A team of Mickley School staff run our Wrap Around Care facility providing both Breakfast Club & After School Club provision. The children have access to a wide range of age appropriate activities both indoor and outdoor. Activities are planned to reflect the time of year, topic work and the interest of the children, work has included making scarecrows, cooking projects, star gazing and gardening. We ensure children are escorted into the main school building in time for registration and are collected at the end of the day and escorted over to the Early Years building where our Wrap Around Care provision is based.

From 28th April 2025, we are delighted to launch our free funded 30 minute breakfast club! Mickley First School is one of a number of pilot schools for this new Government initiative. From the summer term 2025, all children from Reception age upwards may access 30 minutes of free childcare each morning from 8.15 – 8.45 am. Places must be booked in advance on MCAS. This provision will run alongside our current paid breakfast club, which will continue to offer care from 7.30 am.
