Intent
At Mickley First School we aim to provide high quality provision covering an eclectic scope of music. It is our intention to encourage children to explore a range of musical elements, allowing them to express their feelings and ideas using their voice as well as instruments, whilst improving their skill and building their confidence to perform in an enjoyable environment linking to other curriculum areas. We follow the Sing Up scheme of work which meets the requirements of the National Curriculum for Music. Our provision includes visiting specialists who provide whole class trumpet lessons and individual and small group keyboard and guitar lessons.
